Taste of LA is here!
We have started our busy month of March, with our major spring fundraiser The Taste of Los Altos this week. All students must arrive no later than 5:30 PM in the Gym with all equipment needed. There will be set up and clean up as determined by the Band Council. Students are all expected to do their part to help out with this event, and your help will be part of your grade for the event. No student who is to help clean up is allowed to leave until the gym is completely cleaned up at the end of the event.
Please get your Silent Auction item to the Band Room by Monday. We need to have everything there so that our Taste of LA parent team can get everything ready by Friday. Ticket money is due by Wednesday so that we have a good count of who to expect. Please make sure to sign up for food donations and parent helpers on our SignUp Genius.
We have two after school rehearsals this week to prepare for our Friday performance. All students are expected to be at the rehearsal. If you are unable to attend all or part of a rehearsal, this must be communicated to Mr Laging immediately. These are graded rehearsals. If you miss, you are expected to make up the time before festival on April 1st.
Parents, please make sure to look at your text messages. Veda has been sending your information about the Taste of LA, and she needs your help with food donations, your family’s Silent Auction item, and parent help during the event. Please make sure that you do your part to help make this event a success. This is our final major fundraiser of the year. Funds are needed to pay for staff, entry fees, equipment, and many other items through the rest of this year and into the summer. We can only be successful with your participation!
