Notes from the Director
The Jazz Band gave a very energetic performance on Saturday, with many great solos. We wound up in 2nd Place and had a great clinic from Mike Gangemi to help us continue to grow. Great job everyone!
The first of our two Regional Festival rehearsals is Monday after school from 3-4 PM. All members are expected to be there to refine our music and prepare for our festival performance on April 30th.
All applicants for leadership positions should sign up for a brief interview time with Mr. Laging this week. Current leaders and all of those applying should be attending the banquet, where we will honor this year’s leaders and announce next year’s. We will be voting on President of the EU on Monday, and all other elections will be on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The annual Band Banquet is on Friday from 6-9 PM at
Swiss Park Banquet Center
1905 Workman Mill Rd
Whittier, CA 90601
Our hope is that all students will be able to attend.
The Percussion Ensemble is in 1st Place heading into ADLA Championships this Saturday at Azusa Pacific University. It’s an incredible day of the top percussion groups in Southern California, and it would be amazing to have as many supporters there as possible. Tickets are $22.
