Notes from the Director

The Los Altos Percussion Ensemble had another successful performance on Saturday, this time at Marina HS in Huntington Beach. They swept in all subcaptions, achieving 1st Place for the second time this year. They also had the highest score of the day….again! Congratulations to our students and their instructor Bruno Cilloniz on a terrific season so far.

The Winter Guard competes at Los Osos HS on Sunday. Please come out and support our team as they perform their very uplifting show about getting out the vote.

Parents, we will need some assistance during the HLPUSD Band Festival on March 27th at the Community Center. We need people to sell medals and help with concessions through the day from 10:00 AM until 8:30 PM. Please let Mr. Laging know right away if you are able to work at any point in these critical areas. We typically have income of about $1500-1800 from concessions sales, so your help is needed to make sure that we meet these goals. All Students will work a minimum of one shift during the festival, and all students associated with the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Percussion, and Jazz Band who have been assigned parts are required to perform as part of your course grade.

PLEASE CHECK THE CALENDAR BELOW FOR ALL FESTIVAL REHEARSALS. THESE ARE REQUIRED FOR THE INVOLVED STUDENTS.
